Sexismo lingüistico: el tratamiento de algunos términos en los diccionarios ELE

In this study, Marisol Villarrubia Zúñiga and Adrián Mateo Mercader, aim at determining whether the Spanish dictionaries commit linguistic sexism and what would be the effect of this practice on a non-native learner . After setting the definition and incurrence of linguistic sexism in Spanish (García Meseguer 2001, Portal 1999), three different dictionaries have been selected and throughout the paper the use of masculine and feminine voices is analysed.
