Marisol Villarrubia Zúñiga
Marisol Villarrubia Zúñiga holds a B.A. in Philology from the UCM. She obtained a M.A. in Spanish Teaching as a Foreign Language and Ph.D. from the UAH. She completed her training with an awarded research scholarship for the University degli Studi di Firenze (2000-2001). She finished her M.A. in Dictionary Development and Quality Control of the Spanish Lexicon at the UNED in 2016.
She was Academic Coordinator for the international courses at the University of Alcalá and also a teacher until 2007 when she joined Leeds Instituto Cervantes in England. From 2008 to 2015 she was also Academic Coordinator there.
She has lectured as a teacher of Spanish Language and Culture at the University of Alcalá, Instituto Franklin for Research on North America in Spain (Alcalá de Henares), Leeds Instituto Cervantes and the University of Leeds (Spanish and Portuguese Department). Besides, she has also taught at the M.A. ELE-MEELE Teaching (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) and M.A. in the Spanish Teaching as a Foreign Language and Mother Language at the Universidad APEC from Santo Domingo (UNILINGUA-UNAPEC Program) in the Dominican Republic.
From 2016 she is an associate lecturer in the Spanish Department at the University of Alicante where she teaches subjects on language for the Degrees in Philology, Translation and Interpretation and in the Faculty of Education.
Amongst other activities related to the field of Spanish as a Foreign Language, she has partaken in different institutions managing, coordinating and teaching training courses for teachers (Instituto Cervantes, UAH, International House, Centro de Apoyo al Profesorado de Alcalá in Madrid and Centro de profesores y recursos in Guadalajara). She is an examiner for the official Spanish Foreign Language Diploma (DELE).
Her research activity has been developed in different fields and projects such as the Proyecto de Investigación y Desarrollo (I+D) financed jointly by the UAH and the Comunidad de Madrid (HUM2005-07303-C02-01/FILO–CAM-UAH2005/064). Currently, she belongs to a research project from the UA “Proyecto i+D Retos 2017: Gestión de la información y estructuración lingüística” (Information Management and Linguistic Organisation)
